AusBiotech’s Investor Readiness Panel (IRP), managed by the AusBiotech Investment team, is designed to support the broader life sciences sector by providing a more structured view of company stage, readiness, and pathway to capital engagement.
It helps AusBiotech form a more consistent view of how clearly and credibly a company is positioned for investor-facing activity, while also giving companies a better sense of what may need to be strengthened before broader capital conversations.
This awareness develops strength across the sector when engaging and attracting capital.
Why apply to the IRP?
The IRP forms one part of AusBiotech’s broader commitment to strengthening capital engagement across the Australian life sciences sector. This free, sector-wide support provides a more structured view of current company readiness for investor-facing engagement.
For many companies, the challenge is not whether the underlying science or technology is interesting. The challenge is whether the opportunity is clear enough, mature enough, and well-positioned enough for meaningful investor engagement now. Capital raising takes significant time and resources from the management team, and therefore preparation and feedback is most valuable before you start.
What to expect
- A structured external view of current readiness
- Clearer understanding of what is working and what is not yet convincing
- Practical guidance on the most important next step to improve readiness
- A better sense of whether the company is ready for broader investor-facing activity or whether more work is needed first
Information for applicants
The IRP is not an investment committee, endorsement mechanism, or guaranteed pathway into AusBiotech events. Its value is in helping companies better understand where they are, how they are likely to be received, and what will most improve their position from here.
When submitting your IRP application, you may select to be considered in AusBiotech Investment opportunities within the AusBiotech International Conference or the AusMedtech Conference or suggested other events that become available throughout the year.
Participation in the IRP does not suggest participant inclusion in AusBiotech Invest as an attendee nor as part of any program. In addition, select companies not taking part in the IRP may be invited to attend AusBiotech Invest at investor request.
